​An intelligent energy system by Victron allows you to operate your home completely self- sufficiently and without compromise from April to October- even in the event of power outage. While you're away during the day, the photovoltaic system not only covers the base load but also charges the battery.
In the evening, the energy stored during the day is available for cooking, running the washing machine, dishwasher, computer- and recharging your electric vehicle with your daily driving range of around 100-200km. With proper system design, the LiFePo4 battery remains sufficiently charged overnight until the sun delivers enought energy again the next day to fully recharge it- while also covering the hom's daytime base load.
During the winter months, when solar energy is limited, the system automatically draws the remaining required electricity from the grid. Even so, total grid consumption can be reduced by up to 75% even when using a heat pump. The remaining 25% is largely offset by feeding surplus energy into the grid during the summer.
A particularly impressve feature: if the battery is fully discharged during a power outage, the system automatically restarts as soon as daylight is available. This so called black start capability is a key feature of professional- grade systems- and rarely found in standard solutions. We would be happy to demonstrate such a system live in operation.
