memScan e.U. specializes in PV off-grid systems from Victron.
One such system makes it possible to operate one's house from April to October without drawing electricity from the grid and still without restrictions, even in the event of a power failure. You drive to work while the PV system not only covers the base load, but also charges the battery. In the evening, you can then use exactly this energy 1:1. You cook a good and hopefully healthy dinner, activate the washing machine, dishwasher, PC and recharge the daily requirement (50-100km) from your electric car. If properly designed, the battery will not be completely empty overnight before daylight provides enough energy again to fully charge the battery (LiFePh) by the evening, and to cover the entire base load of the house during the day. If too little energy is available from the sun in the winter months, the system draws the remaining electricity from the grid. This means that electricity consumption can be reduced by 75% in our latitudes despite the heat pump. The remaining 25% is largely compensated for by feed-in income in the summer months. If the battery runs out overnight in the event of a power failure, the system will be put back into operation as soon as daylight is available. This is called "black start capability", which very few systems can offer. The battery is recharged and the house is supplied. If you are interested, we will be happy to show you such a system live. It is impressive how much energy can be generated by the roof surface alone.
